US Shake Off Winner, Aaron SpechtOk, Sipsters! Has the anticipation been killin' ya? The winner of the US Shake Off, in Finland, was Aaron Specht of Denver.
Specht, bar manager at Prime 121, won the regional cocktail shake off, in Colorado, earlier this fall. And, like a true red-blooded American male, Aaron showed up in Finland intent to become the champion. Confident, cocky, shit-talkin' and ready to 'shake down' the competition, Aaron's tasty cocktails won him a spot in the International Shake Off, later that day. (The top three winners in that competition will be featured this week on The Liquid Muse...)
Here is the recipe for Aaron's dessert drink:
Key To Finland
1 oz. Finlandia vodka
1 oz. lime juice
2 oz. whipped cream
1/8 slice key lime pie
Shake all ingredients, vigorously. Serve up, in a pie crust-rimmed cocktail glass.
