San Francisco Cocktail Week

“It’s everyman’s Bourbon & Branch,” said bartender, Aaron Smith. Unlike the exclusive, reservations only modern-day speakeasy, Rye is open to anyone, anytime. Casually hip with an eclectic crowd and a mind-blowing drink menu, moody lighting plays off modern accents and movies projected against the exposed brick wall.

The loosely sophisticated little watering hole just off Union Square is owned by Greg Lindgren and Jon Gasparini, the personalities behind successes Rosewood and 15 Romolo.

The collaborative spirit of San Francisco’s bartenders is celebrated in Rye’s weekly Monday Mixing Contests, with winning cocktails featured on its regularly updated drink list. Aaron affirms, “We all talk to each other. We’re all geeks.” Sign me up!
